Hesperus the Evening Star was one of three limited scarf designs emerging from our collaboration with Eileen Kramer that is hand screen printed in India. 

The designs were originally created in collage and pen for Eileen's book, The Sappho Search, which was published to celebrate her centenary year. Eileen's process was inspired by poetry and moonlight. As she explains, "On the island of Lesbos I looked up and saw Hesperus the Evening Star, the sky's brightest star. Sappho Wrote about this too. I made a drawing of an evening star." The Limited Edition Eileen Kramer Scarves are hand screen printed in India. Due to the hand process each scarf has some variance and imperfections which we do not consider to be faults, but add to the unique beauty of each scarf. As we strive to reduce waste within the fashion industry and support handcrafts we hope that you share our philosophy.
