Made in Mada was created in 2014 after the owners moved to Sydney. Living all their lives in Madagascar, it was important for them to keep a close tie with the country. They loved sharing, living and working with the Madagascan people, and they found it a waste to not share the amazing handiwork of the Madagascan women. The establishment of the brand created work for the locals and assisted in maintaining traditional Madagascan crochet and weaving production and provided workers with a sustainable income.
