ROLE DESCRIPTION

Brigid McLaughlin is an Australian Design House that creates Luxury Artisanal Clothing in Natural Fibres, where timeless design meets sustainable, nature positive artistry. The company creates two brands;

Brigid McLaughlin - Artistic Designer Womenswear and Events Dressing.

PORCELAIN Brigid McLaughlin – Luxury Resort wear.

As a niche company we are digital first. Our Digital Communications and Digital Marketing efforts are the key drivers for sales to our three sales channels

  • E-COMMERCE
  • HABERFIELD RETAIL STORE
  • WHOLESALE SALES

We operate from a unique open plan retail store and design studio in Haberfield Sydney NSW.

We are looking for someone to join our team to take ownership of our Sales, Digital Communications and Digital Marketing as we enter a new growth phase.

Operating as a traditional Design House we offer a premium unique artistic product with outstanding customer service. We are seeking a sales manager who will delight our customers through creative visual communications, impeccable artistic store presentation and who can make a visit to our stores a delight for all.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be the face and voice of sales for Brigid McLaughlin.

RETAIL

Manage the day-to-day trading of the retail store ensuring sales targets are met, using digital communications, to drive brand awareness, footfall instore and sales both instore and online.

  • Ensure newness instore by co-ordinating fresh Window Displays and Visual Merchandising instore, fortnightly, in line with the communications of our fortnightly newsletters.
  • Use digital tools to give those who cannot visit the store and our design studio a glimpse as to what is new or happening instore or in development within the design studio. Entice and tell our unique story.

BUYING AND STOCK MANAGEMENT 

  • Manage the companies stock inventory.
  • Work with the design team to ensure the right product is planned to achieve sales targets.
  • Work with the production team to ensure the right product is bought in the right quantity to achieve sales targets and minimize unwanted stock.
  • Research and Report on what product our retail and wholesale accounts are asking for and what is not performing for them.

ECOMMERCE

Own the day-to-day trading of the eCommerce site www.brigidmclaughlin.com.au ensuring sales targets are met through data driven optimisations.

  • Oversee the end to end website experience, ensuring a premium, conversion optimized customer journey that aligns with brand strategy.
  • Personalise and package eCommerce Orders for daily dispatch.
  • Website trouble shooting and Maintenance
  • Manage Shopify Backend; upload new products, ensure stock levels and pricing is up to date.
  • Ensure all product information is accurate and SEO-optimized, including descriptions, style size measurements, imagery, meta data.
  • Optimise on-site merchandising by keeping the Home Page and Brand Landing Pages fresh and ever changing.
  • Manage ERP and POS Integration.
  • Monitor and analyse website performance to drive improvements.
  • Constantly strive for new ways of improving UX.
  • Manage Performance Development Plan for the three sales channels.
  • Explore new international eCommerce opportunities.

DIGITAL MARKETING

  • Grow our EDM list.
  • Manage our EDM campaigns to be our key driver of sales and communications.
  • Manage our Social Channels for the two brands; Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest.
  • Manage our Paid Advertising campaigns with Meta and Google to achieve a ROAS x 3

WHOLESALE SALES

  • Use Digital Marketing to build Brand Awareness. (not specifically for Wholesale, however, if powerful if will gain attention with the right buyers)
  • Use digital tools to be in a constant dialogue/communication with our stockists and to entice new stockists. Ie Instagram Broadcast channel.
  • Digitally share sneak peaks of upcoming collections to build interest.
  • Seasonally invite and show the indent collections to our stockists at our Haberfield Retail Store and Design Studio.
  • Seasonally send our digital sales assets to those buyers who cannot visit in person. Then follow up to secure orders.
  • Input orders, send Sales Orders for Confirmation and Invoices prior to delivery; manage all communications and orders with our stockists.
  • Nurture existing relationships and build new wholesale accounts.

  • Digital Marketing Experience
  • Paid advertising Experience with Google, Meta, Pinterest
  • SEO Expertise
  • Social Media Expertise in Management and Utilisation
  • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Indesign, Premier Pro
  • Analytics Reporting
  • Shopify and Klaviyo Experience
  • Excel for Stock Management Reporting

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Experience in design orientated retail.

A proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales budgets.

A proven ability to style customers and visually merchandise the store.

SAMPLE MACHINIST & QUALITY CONTROL ROLE

PART TIME POSITION (3 DAYS A WEEK), FASHION STORE AND DESIGN STUDIO, HABERFIELD NSW

We are looking for a sample machinist with exceptional technical skills to join our small studio team. The role involves making sample garments, cutting sample garments, working closely with our local makers to ensure production meets our sample quality and quality control of production garments. Quality control of all products before dispatch.
